*United Kingdom, according to Wikipedia, have confirmed, however, through private contact, I have found that the BBC have not confirmed.

Copenhagen has been ultimately chosen, will you JOIN US?

As a friend said to me, "Copenhagen has been ultimately chosen", I had a smile on my face. Since Denmark had won the contest, I knew Copenhagen would have the honor of hosting the contest. Then I read more... a Eurovision Island... a new experience. This intrigued me even more.

Eurovision 2009 ~ Flash Back ~ Did Fairytale Deserve To Win?

In 2009, Norway thrived in the Eurovision Contest, scoring the HIGHEST ever score received in a contest, beating the previous record set by Lordi in 2006 (Finland). Lordi got a very respectable 292, coming first, beating 2nd place by 44 points. (2nd is Eurovision's very own Dima Bilan!) However, this record was to be beat by Alexander Rybak. Rybak received a giant 387 points, beating Lordi's record by 95 points. However, Rybak, to date, hasn't received the most 12 points, Loreen, the winner of 2012, currently holds that record.

But did Fairytale win because the song also good enough to win was held back through politics?

Herning - It's Actually Being Considered

'What a stupid idea! Holding the contest in Herning! It's such a dull city!' is about the best way to sum up what's going through every Eurovision fan's mind. And you're too right! Herning, a city that only has one requirement - a stadium - is actually being considered.

The United Kingdom Flops Because... (The Age Old Excuses)

In the modern time of the Eurovision (21st century), the United Kingdom has lacked success. And to not feel bad about it, we (the UK'ers) make up excuses. Well, I don't, in-fact, I think the excuses are pathetic.

My Favourite Song And Artist Of 2013

In this post, I will be telling you my favourite song and artist for 2013. Now, this could be the artist and their song or a song and a different artist. Now - I'm the kind of person who likes a bit of dance music and this year's Eurovision certainly wasn't short of dance music. In the semi-finals, some songs I can highlight that didn't qualify: Montenegro with Who See and "Igranka" and Bulgaria with Elitsa and Stoyan and "Samo Shampioni". These, coincidentally, were in my top ten for the Semi-Final 2. But neither are my favourite artist or song.

Greece 2013 - Koza Mosta & Agathonas Iakovidis - Nearly Killed The Greek President?

The Greek president thought he was sending a novelty act by sending the song "Alcohol is Free" but in-fact, the song is very infectious and received a lot of votes, evening becoming first at one point.

During this, the Greek president must have been having a heart attack, due to their economical woes and the struggle to find money to host the contest.

A 2013 Underrated Song: Amandine Bourgeois - L'enfer Et Moi - review

If you read the Contigo Hasta El Final review, you'll know why I'm reviewing underrated songs. If not, it's because, well, they're underrated and deserve more limelight.

The song "L'enfer Et Moi" or, as translated in English, "Hell and Me" was composed by David Salkin and Boris Bergman. And was performed by the Amandine Bourgeois, the French entrant.

A 2013 Underrated Song: ESDM - Contigo Hasta El Final - review

Instead of reviewing all the songs people love, I will review underrated songs. My first is ESDM - Contigo Hasta El Final.

El sueño de Morfeo.JPGContigo Hasta El Final was composed and performed by the Spanish band (yes, it was Spain's entry) ESDM (El Sueño de Morfeo - Morpheus' Dream).
